Executive Producer and Director: Scott H. Dockus

Dockus began America's Open Roads Media with over 30 years of marketing experience, of which half are focused on tourism and heritage development. The idea of AOR Media and later Modern Classics TV, began in 2011 when he started to restore a 1966, 19' Lyman Islander, his third Lyman.

Beginning with a hull and an engine, a 1963 Intercepter, Dockus began what turned out to be a 5-year project of passion. Knowing full well how this passion becomes overwhelming, he began to meet other restorers of classic boats, cars, motorcycles, and planes. As a result of these exploits, he learned that restorers all have something in common, a story, and no two stories are the same; thus, the beginning of Modern Classics TV.

Behind Dockus’ direction, AOR Media is also working on Raiders on the Ohio, a documentary-style project to collect oral histories of descendants who were involved in or affected by CSA Brigadier General John Hunt Morgan's Great Raid of 1863. He was the creative director and executive director behind the Remarkable Lake County, OH brand, and enjoys engaging audiences with a fondness of our nation's heritage.
